Think Thursday evening events in May/June 2023.

Over the last month (and continuing in May and June) we have been running a series of events on Thursday evenings, as part of Dundee City Council’s organised Think Thursday initiative.  The aim of this initiative is to revive the economic and cultural activity of the city centre with the help of local independent businesses.

As you know, here at Double Door Studios we are passionate about all things local and independent design related, so we have put together a programme of events to join in the ‘Think Thursday’.

During April, May and June we will host several Artist Talks with local designers, creative Workshops with studio residents and of course our specialty – a Pop-Up Shop.

ThinkThursday

From 19th November come on down to our Festive Boutique! We’ve transformed the studios into a festive grotto and gathered together an eclectic selection of handmade products by Scottish designers, artists and makers to sit alongside the jewellery, candles and frames made by the studio residents.

Products on offer range from ceramic, jesmonite, glass and wooden homewares to cosy woollen textiles, original art, prints and cards to soaps and cosmetics, and not to forget our fudge treats. Our Christmas tree will once again be decorated to the brim with makes by our participating makers – and it’s all for sale!
